New Term
The New Term 2 begins on Monday, 5 May and already some of our Courses are full.
We are running an extra ‘What can I do on my PC’ to cope with demand and there are still a few vacancies in our ‘Introduction to Computers‘ Course. The various workshops including ‘How do I …?‘, Q &A, iPad, Android tablets have attracted a lot of members during the first term and I am sure that the demand will continue into Term 2.
To be sure that you can take part in a Term 2 Course, my advice is first to
look on our website at the overall timetable of Courses being offered and when you have made your choice, then please phone Theresa on 04 2983132.
New tutors
We have a dedicated group of Tutors, but we are always on the lookout for more enthusiasts to join the team. Tutoring at Kapiti SeniorNet is a great experience and what’s more, being a tutor or an assistant tutor is a wonderful way to keep your computing knowledge right up to date. You are most welcome to our regular tutors meetings which are held on the 1st Thursday of each month at 9.30am. Come along and join in. Give Lois a call on 04 298 7797 if you are interested.
Website
Here you will find lots of useful information and our Webmaster seeks to keep you up-to-date on topical matters and give useful information as you build your computer understanding and application. To receive our regular updates, be sure to register for an email notification of new posts being available on this site. Just go to the window in the margin here or click on the ‘follow’ tab at the bottom right hand side of the web page. If you decide not to receive further notifications you can cancel anytime.
Subscriptions
A reminder that your subscriptions for the new 2014/15 year are now due and must be paid by 1 May to keep your SeniorNet membership. Send your remittance and member details to our P.O. Box 522, Paraparaumu, 5256 or pay by direct credit to our bank account Kapiti SeniorNet 06-0501-0746900.00. Annual General Meeting Wednesday 16 July
An early opportunity to note the date in your diary so you don’t miss out later. You won’t be pressurised to take on a role on the committee, but of course if you are interested in serving on the committee our Secretary Jim at sparkyj@paradise.net.nz would love to hear from you, and he can be contacted for a nomination form .
Treasurer urgently needed
This important role is up for grabs, so If you or anyone you know would like to volunteer to take on this role then please contact me, Barry, at rosebb@xtra.co.nz.
Have an enjoyable Easter. I hope to see you at Kapiti SeniorNet in Term 2.
Barry
